Stella, though she is tiny she is mighty.

Stella was Born weighing 3 pounds but was full of sass and fight from the very beginning. She was bound to be a rockstar in the NICU at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, Massachusetts to make it home to her mom and dad and sweet sister pup Daisy.

I myself am a fellow NICU parent, having my youngest daughter enter the world at just 32 weeks. I know the NICU rollercoaster of emotions all too well, so listening to Stella's mama tell me about their journey and all that comes along with a preemie hit close to home. I can say though that there is a certain comfort in being able to relate to other NICU parents and a peace found in sharing your journeys.

I first met Stella for her newborn session when she was about 4 weeks old. She was just the teeniest little darling who loved her mama's milk and rocked her newborn session. Fast forward to her six month milestone session and not much has changed haha! She is still a teeny babe weighing about 10 pounds and still crazy over mama's milk!

Milestone session are a blast in the studio! We put babies in various Props such as buckets, bowls, and beds. I used some of my favorites here with Stella, a classic highchair newborn prop, a vintage low bowl prop and a few Flokatis. Flokatis are the most luxurious version of a wool rug used for newborn photography. Mama chose a few of her favorite pieces she wanted featured so for her session we used a Tom Brady jersey being that we live in New England and come on he is the GOAT?! regardless of him playing for Tampa Bay Buccaneers now. The love is still there! Go Tom Brady!

We also featured mama's first pair of shoes, so vintage! And even gave Stella a cookie with her bubba for a little half birthday smash- Look below the size portion to she and the cookie are adorable! & as appropriately so featured a Rainbow Newborn wrap to honor the miracle she is and how remarkable being a preemie is in true Rainbow baby fashion.

I can't wait to keep documenting Stella's first year here in the studio.
